Seller's Description:
As New. No Jacket. 240 pages (complete). Hand-numbered D of a limited sponsors' edition of 26 copies. Signed by Steyn on the certification page. Inscribed to Jurgen Kogel. Full leather, stamped gilt decoration and titling and colophon. The book is housed in a dove grey slip-case with a tipped-in illustration on the front. Leather lips. The case is smart, sure. The boards are wonderfully handsome, agleam with health. Five ridges along the spine. Tipped-in photograph as frontispiece. This has been affixed (neatly) with scotch tape along the top. The glue has seeped through the page, but not, mercifully, onto the succeeding page. This distraction is minor and is easily missed. The contents are wonderfully fresh. They are bright, vivid, enthusiastic, very clean and clear, very confident, generous, bright-as if new throughout! fk.
