English summary: Nelly Sachs (1891-1970) was considered by many of her contemporaries as the essential voice of German language poetry in the 20th century. In 1966, she was the first female German-language author to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature. Despite numerous efforts in recent years, the work of Nelly Sachs is not well read and less well known in Germany. This neglect can be traced back chiefly to one sided-contextualization. A "sister of Kafka," she is considered above all within the context of literary modernisms, in which her work stands. The authors of this anthology pose reasonable question about the contextualization for the work of Nelly Sachs and modernism as well. The collected articles represent the current research of a new generation of scholars, who critically engage with, and undertake a reassessment of, the work of Nelly Sachs in innovative and interdisciplinary ways.
