The Nauvoo Expositor was a key factor in the death of the Mormon prophet, Joseph Smith and his brother, Hyrum Smith. It was started and compiled by one of Joseph's own first presidency, William Law, among others. He and his fellows disagreed with polygamy and began trying to expose Joseph's many misdeeds regarding polygamy and his abuse of power.
