The photos and informative text cover the lifetime of California's fascinating North Pacific Coast narrow gauge railroad and its paddle-wheel ferry line which once carried thousands of San Franciscans north across the bay to Marin and Sonoma Counties. This line linked Sausalito, San Rafael, Mill Valley, and ultimately reached the Russian River country in the redwoods.
