Seller's Description:
Very good; Collectible. John Faulkner (September 24, 1901 – March 28, 1963) was an American author. His works, in a plain style, depict life in early Mississippi. Faulkner is best-remembered for the novels Men Working and Dollar Cotton, and the memoir, My Brother Bill: An Affectionate Reminiscence, about his elder sibling, author William Faulkner. John Faulkner was also an accomplished, self-taught painter. He did a series of paintings known as The Vanishing South and wrote a short paragraph to describe each one. This is the softcover stated Pocket First Edition from October 1964. Other than a bit of wear to the front cover, the book is in excellent condition. There are no rips, tears, markings, etc. ---and the pages and binding are tight (see photo). **Note: All books listed as FIRST EDITIONS are stated by the publisher in words or number lines--or--only stated editions that include only the publisher and publication date.
