About the Author James Brown was born and raised in Lancaster Pennsylvania and is the youngest of three children. Though his name is James he goes by Jim and has done so for his entire life. From an early age he could feel God's calling in his life, but decided to run from it. He spent many years trying to deny this calling hoping that it would go away. He spent 21 years as a commissioned officer in the United States Army serving both on active duty and reserve duty. He is a combat veteran serving in Baghdad during Operation Iraqi Freedom. During his time serving in the U.S. Army Reserves he worked in the commercial cleaning industry. It was during this time that he finally stopped running from God and started to run towards him and embrace what God was calling him to do. Finally after many years of running from ministry he embraced the ministry calling in his life and accepted a position with a church in Louisville Kentucky coordinating volunteers. During this time he learned the importance of knowing and understanding God's word. Because of this new found understanding he enrolled as a part-time student in a Master's Degree program at Louisville Bible College. He received his Master of Sacred Literature degree in May 2012, exactly 28 years to the day that he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He currently is married to his beautiful wife Crystal and they have two children Kira and Cassidy. He is the bi-vocational pastor for Banklick Christian Church in Ft Mitchell Kentucky and works during the week in the flooring industry. However no matter where you find him he is always listening to God and following him on the path to growing his faith.

Mustard Seed was an easy read with lots of great practical information. I would recommend it for a new follower of Christ as well as mature followers. It is a great reminder that we must be intentional with our faith walk so that our faith can deepen over our life time.
