During the 1920s, Paul Whiteman, despite being billed "The King of Jazz," performed a wide variety of music. Close to Whiteman's heart were major semi-classical works that had the flavor of jazz but were really outside of the music altogether. Some of the key pieces from 1927-1928 are gathered together on this CD.
