Did the man's death have something to do with the illegal activities that took place in the cave years ago? Did he die of natural causes, or from an accident, or was he murdered? Driven by curiosity, and in an attempt to learn more about the man who died in the cave, Della talks to a convict, the woman the dead man loved, and a heartbroken sister still grieving over his disappearance. Sheriff Metcalf pleads with Della to leave the sleuthing to him, but she's driven to find out the truth about the man's strange death and disappearance.
