I shared several chapeter with students, and ended up giving the book to one great kid. I believe kids would like to read if more adults would read to them;
Abraham Lincoln, like Cesar, will live a long time in history. Marvel tells the details and emotions of the time, and stimulates those who have had very minimal attachments to history.
Now, I have to buy myself another copy. In honesty, I try to make my students additcted to historical people, for they were real humans just like they are.
Marvel did a splendid job helping me make some, not all, but some fall in love with history and the great men who built our nation. Nanne
