To many listeners, it will seem barely indistinguishable from the standard completion by Franz Xaver Süssmayr, except for additional brass parts from the Breitkopf & Härtel edition, and the music is all familiar, with only minimal changes. Putting aside some problems with the close-up recording that exposes weaknesses in the OSJ's playing and unevenness in the choir's blend, the biggest difficulty is the general lack of period style.
