A second index, based on a therapeutic and pharmacologic classification, can also be used to quickly locate drug monographs. The 2005 edition contains a 20-page insert at the back of the book, entitled New Drug Updates, with information on new drugs that have recently received FDA approval. This reference book easily fits in the pocket of a clinic coat and the soft cover design reduces bulk and weight, making it ideal for use in any dental office. CD-ROM bound in the back of each book contains 30 full-color images of pathologic conditions that may result from drugs patients are taking.
