Lily and Rule's story continue in the second book of this series as they try to track down a charismatic cult leader who escaped their pursuit in the last book. Their relationship deepens as Lily learns more about the lupi and Rule's world, and as Rule learns more about Lily's family dynamics.
I really enjoyed this novel - as well as this entire series - as Lily and Rule face difficult challenges together when they are tossed into another world where demons abound and their lives are constantly in danger as they fight to get home.
More of the overall plot of magic reentering the world is furthered in this story and it gets more complicated as Lily and Rule's world braces itself for a drastic change when the line between the human world and eveyrthing else becomes thinner and thinner.
