Case Method for Morality
This is an excellent source I have used to teach a course in ethics. Davis brings concreteness to moral judgment by selecting cases that occurred in legal proceedings and give rise to moral issues. with this case method, there is a factual basis for moral questions to be answered. A wide array of questions are presented by Davis to direct attention to issues of moral judgment to be resolved. The substance of judgment is much in evidence. A careful student can get a grip on issues and relate facts to principles in a construcitve way. Substantive development of moral judgment is achieved.
