VG- in VG- jacket. Smaller octavo. Black cloth covered boards and spine with shiny gilt lettering on the spine. Spine has a light forward lean and light bumping at the head and tail. l Light bumping at the tips of all four of the outside corners. Book looks like the cloth of the tips of the two lower outside corners had gotten wet at one point, and the book has a musty odor as a result. White endpapers. Binding is still tight. Light evidence of handling on the upper and outside edges of the textblock-pages are all clean, white, and crisp within. 215 pages. Dust Jacket has a fair amount of rubbing at the head and tail of the spine and at the tips of the outside corners. Light accompanying wrinkling at the tips of the outside corners. Just a trace of rubbing along the upper and lower edges and along the front edge of the spine. Narrow but deep chip runs along the outside edge of the lower front corner where the water damage was-looks like some color transfer on the inside of the jacket along the part where the outside edge would lay. Price in pounds sterling on the lower corner of the front inside flap. Solid reading copy, priced with it's flaws in mind. This short story collection from Aldiss includes "Supertoys Last All Summer Long, " which was the basis for the 2001 Steven Spielberg film A.I. Artificial Intelligence.
