This book aims at counterbalancing that perspective by emphasizing the role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). A new business systems framework highlights major institutional differences between the American, Japanese, German and other business systems. The authors explore the distinctive properties of the Danish business system enabling SMEs to be economically and technologically viable.
