Still, this was a rare opportunity for Paul to fulfill a life-long dream to serve as a missionary pilot, and after all it was a short-term assignment. Though she certainly realized there was a spiritual need, the thought of living in primitive conditions for nine months with two young children didn't appeal to Sally at all.
