Missing Her Amish Boyfriend by Rachel J. Good is a cute story. We get to return to the Green Valley Farmer�s Market where Anna Mary Zook has just obtained a position. I felt for Anna Mary who is trying to take care of her mother and sibling as well as hold down a job (the family needs the income). There is an interesting assortment of characters. I love Mrs. Vandenburg. She is a delightful, eccentric elderly woman who adds humor to the story. Mrs. Vandenburg loves playing matchmaker (I can envision the twinkle in her eye). I like how Mrs. Vandenburg listens to God�s little nudges. There are good life and faith lessons in the story. Faith in God is the primary theme. I like how the author addressed the topic of depression. It can be hard to resist the pull of depression. The story is easy to read, but it was slow in places with repetitive details. While Missing Her Amish Boyfriend is the seventh book in the Surprised by Love series, it can be read as a standalone. Missing Her Amish Boyfriend is a heartwarming tale with a conniving octogenarian, long lines, a benevolent visitor, competitive combatants, a melancholy mother, mouthwatering meals, and a faithful Father.
