Edited by the famous spiritual teacher Ram Dass, this book is a collection of anecdotes, stories, and quotations of Neem Karoli Baba (aka Maharajji), who was Dass' guru and widely regarded as one of the great masters of the 20th century. The material was collected from more than 100 of Maharajji's students, and is arranged loosely into more than 25 chapters dealing with subjects such as love, money, anger, compassion, attachment, and living a spiritual life. Through these stories emerges a remarkable portrait of a remarkable man. Maharajji was reputed by many to have supranormal powers, and many of the accounts provide claims of witnessing such events. Maharajji's style of teaching did not generally include lenghty discourses, but rather his wisdom was delivered in pithy observations about how we react in daily life. Filled with warmth, these stories are sometimes funny, but always thought provoking - a true window into a realized mind. Should appeal to anyone interested in literature about the spiritual path. Highly recommended.
