The book describes her brother's childhood love for animals, and particularly the bond he formed with a playful red mare, which he named "La Chapucera." Amazingly, the pony would actually play hide-and-seek with him. This book is a great example of friendship and demonstrates that our best friends don't necessarily have to be human.
