Suffering from a major mental illness himself, Paul uses personal examples that demonstrate how psychopathology crosses tracks with mystical revelation. He begins with a solid grounding in philosophy and physics and then delves into brain research which leads him into am examination of the different levels of spirituality, esthetics, morality, and even the meaning life. For these last issues he presents evidence from many different religions, both western and eastern traditions. Paul held a high security clearance with the US Department of Defense with access to some of this countries most sensitive secrets.
