Anthony Doerr is one of the most talented wordsmiths in literary history. These stories are all linked to different views of memory and memory challenges. They are brilliantly constructed. The skill of this author is stunning. The thought and work that has gone into any of his work is massive, while not at all apparent, outside of its readability, and the thought provocation which occurs to the reader. I have become a huge fan of Anthony Doerr and of all his excellent works this is my favorite. Doerr's fiction maintains a firm and completely believable grip on reality. The Relativity of his work is absolutely stunning!
