Good. Hand colored plates; woodcuts; Large 8vo 9"-10" tall; 360 pages; HC large 8vo 1st edition. In original navy blue cloth with decorative borders and frames to boards stamped in blind; title lettering and rules to spine in gilt. Board edges beveled; page edges untrimmed. Illustrated with some 38 mostly woodcut figures and plates, 13 of which are colored by hand, 12 of those numbered as plates. Cloth rubbed, nicked and moderately frayed at spine ends; corners bruised with mild abrasions to cloth. Lacks the last leaf of pages 361 and 362-the final page of the basic index from l to z. Rear blank and coated endpage also lacking/ Title page is on a later stub. A pair of mild internal splits with several signatures starting. Hand colored plates I-IX numbered in Roman and plated 10-12 numbered in Aarabic. All present, but plate IV loose from the binding with some furring to the front edge of the margin. Decent copy but lacking the terminal printed leaf and with wear to the binding. Good only, at best....Oversize book may require additional charges for expedited or international shipping.
