This book is fabulous to identify melons and explore the many varieties. The colorplates are breathtaking. Although she shares some valuable tips, it is not such a great text for actually gleaning gardening information.
Amy is so passionate, and the book so beautiful, it reinforces the reasoning behind maintaining abundant diversity in all our food.
