The most artistically credible volume of Rhino's Mellow Rock Hits of the '70s series focuses on male singer/songwriters. Most of these cats have (or had, at any rate) pretty high critical reps, though this tends to be their most familiar/commercial work: Gordon Lightfoot, Don McLean, Kris Kristofferson, Arlo Guthrie, Steve Goodman, John Prine, Steve Forbert.
