A plausible premise leads to great stories with lessons for everyone. There is some unnecessary repetition, and a couple of lines were missing from a quotation from a probably fictitious author (I got the lines from another collection and wrote them into my copy of this book). A couple of things don't ring quite true, including a possibility of war not covered by the hero's solution.
