This is such a good comedy to watch. It keeps you wanting another movie just like it with the same characters. Marsha Mason sounds just like a schoolteacher and plays the part well. I really liked Jason Robards, Jr. and he did an excellent job as the long lost and unremorseful thief. Let's not forget Matthew Broderick's part as the teenager that did things like smoking in the house and Marsha Mason was so busy thinking of ways to make ends meet on a schoolteacher's salary that she didn't notice. I think that this is an excellent film and shows that sometimes good things do happen to ordinary people that are trying to make ends meet.
