Paste down illus. VG. Paste down pictorial cover of Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre, gray binding, some soil marks. An Abrams art book. A short bio of. Utrillo, offspring of a liaison between a teen-age model and a young amateur painter and chronic alcoholic named Boissy. The model later became the protegee of Toulouse-Lautrec who introduced her to Degas who taught and encourage her to paint. A failure as a bank clerk, Utrillo became alcoholic and was temporarily committed to an asylum and was encourage to take up painting as an emotional outlet so he could regain his equilibrium.
