Matt Angus is a very interesting songwriter, the kind who holds a loaded gun behind his back. The tunes are perky enough, veering between rock and some touches of country, but listen to the words and he can be a bit of a preacher, although his message is pretty much "Why can't we all get along?" He charts America's political division in "Red or Blue," wonders what people would make of a returning Jesus on "Jesus at Your Door," and goes looking for his country on "How Can That Be?"
