Author Stephanie Cowell is a master story teller, weaving fact with fiction, making an unforgetable read. I've loaned my copy to several people, and don't expect to get it back. It's that good! Abundant detail and a swift moving plot keeps the reader turning pages. I love well written fiction based on fact, especially when as well researched as this one is.

Great historical fiction
This is a great book of historical fiction. You gain insight into the conditions and customs of the times as well as the popularity of music at the time. Classical truly had the "rock and roll" status of today, Mozart was a rock star trying to break out. In this book we see Mozart as these sisters saw him coming and going out of their lives. It's an easy read and absorbs you completely. I highly recommend.
