What can I say?

What can I say but that this is an excellent book.
The book itself is top quality and the text and pictures are very clear and understandable. If you aren't a woodworker you might want to start on something smaller like a ukulele; if you have a little experience with tools and techniques then you should be able to build a guitar.

Rare find

How cool is this? An, if not the, acknowledged master archtop luthier guides you step by step in making an archtop. Details, dimensions, tips, tools, it's all there. There are some subjective things like tap tuning that cannot be taught in a book, but then Benedetto has a companion DVD that covers that. Amazing. Would that more masters provided such a well thought out apprenticeship-in-a-book experience. Highly recommended.
