The Magic of Xanth is the first three books in the Xanth series. Originally meant to be a trilogy, this series was extended beyond such and is now heading from the mid-to-upper 30's due to its fan-base desiring more than just the starting set. It's a wonderful beginning full of great puns and great characters. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a book with any number of wonderful attributes:
interesting
hilarious
wondrous
different
just plain great...
It is truly one of my favorite series and will be kept and treasured in my collection as one of the best.
