I skimmed the chapters and read the summaries and term definitions to study for a prelim. It seemed thorough and it helped me study. The chapters go further in depth than my class but they seemed like they could be good for a class that went further into the material than ours. Lack of a clear organization among and on the pages makes it a bit harder to navigate, and I wouldn't recommend simply reading the chapters unless you miss lecture, because there's a decent amount of fluff in the chapters.
