Seller's Description:
Very good in very good jacket. Octavo, 215pp. A very good, crisp copy, with some rubbing to the cloth, and gentle taps to corners. Last few leaves with some isolated foxing. In a very good dust jacket with some small chips and tears. SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Oscar Hammerstein II on the front free endpaper: "For Leo with my best wishes, Oscar." Per a laid-in description from a previous bookseller, Leo is Leo McCarey, the prolific film director of such films as Duck Soup and An Affair to Remember. McCarey's archive at AFI contains correspondence with Hammerstein. An appealing association copy.
