Seller's Description:

Great overview of Feiningers' work with some great insights. A" must have" for anyone studying his work or that period of 20th century art. An overlooked artist who was one of the greats that is starting to get the recognition he richly deserves. The scholarship is excellent and there is a catalog of all his paintings in the back. This book along with the book by Mossinger would give anyone studying this artist a good reference point to understand not only the paintings but the prints, watercolors and drawings and their relationship to each other. Too bad the Hess book does not have more color plates though a good representation from all periods.
