Now I finally get to post about this amazing art book. Firstly I love the Mary Cassatt quote as she is a favorite of the Impressionist artists for me (even stubborn Renoir gave her props) It's enlightening to see and read throughout what inspires these lady animators. I find so much inspiration in the different mediums they utilize. From the examples shown being of Lisa Keene's painterly animal portraits, Claire Keane's light pastel touches (as well as her iPhone sketches), Brittney Lee's paperwork art, and the various of digital and traditional work found here. It makes me really want to push further to work in a pre-production animation (as a concept or storyboard artist) down the road
