I remember, though - I had a life once, a real life. A beautiful wife, and a son to be proud of. He's gone now, killed from before the end, but she's still with me - changed, as I am - a new thing, a violent thing, a hungry thing. I've tried so hard to cling to the final shreds of my humanity, but it's hard...so hard. And I hunger... This is a dark, disturbing, and frankly, terrifying book. One that leads the reader to look into themselves, wondering, what would they do? For hunger. For survival. For love.
