"Love Can Move Mountains," penned by Dianne Warren, was the fourth hit single from Celine Dion's self-titled 1992 English-language album. The song, an upbeat number, was issued as a maxi-single that included four mixes, as well as remixed versions of two songs from her previous album, Unison. There are two remixed radio edits of "Love Can Move Mountains," one bouncy and the other sleek, and two housey club versions, similar to most dance music from the early '90s in that it seemed to possess a since-lost elegance and a since-lost innocence (the last mix, the "Underground Vocal Mix" is the definite highlight). Also included are a remix of a previous hit single, "(If There Was) Any Other Way," and this disc's highlight, a dance mix of the song "Unsion." That version is a full of muscle, with R&B background vocals, sirens, a beat straight out of Technotronic's "Pump up the Jam," and even a rap (courtesy of Frankie Fudge). That long-forgotten track showcases an edgier Dion than the world would probably ever imagine possible. For those reasons, then, this hard-to-find single is definite fun for fans of this singer. ~ Jose Promis, Rovi
