After appearing in more than 300 films, and a legend in his own right, Lee undertook one of the most demanding roles of his career as Saruman in Peter Jackson s "The Lord of the Rings." Shortly after, as one of the most powerful adversaries in the Star Wars canon, Lee proved that at 80, he is still a commanding screen presence. Christopher Lee is one of theose people whose life is an interesting read, From his early childhood years , military life, and then Acting career, Lee uses older , European terms to describe his story,. So it would help to brush up. His friendships are a bullwark of his life, and they are memorable. Lee is one of those unique people when on the "Silver" screen are most present, and have that attraction that engages. I look fondly at his life, and that he took the time to share it with us. Highly recommended.

A wonderful life!
This is an engaging and often humorous memoir from one of the most elegant and talented actors of the last century, now having the time of his life while he's in his 80s! We should all have such interesting and wonderful lives to recount. Receiving a long-deserved knighthood this past year, he is finally recognized for the great actor and wonderful personality he is. Cheers and long life to him. A delightful and marvelous experience from beginning to end.
