Tipped in page with 21 line, 1956 presentation by Forrest to a Pac NW bookseller relating that in 1903 he (Forrest) first heard & began collecting Apache Kid stories, & later met co-author Hill, & etc. ALSO LAID IN: 1 page TLS (typed signed letter), also 1956, from Forrest to the same bookseller. In the letter he refers to trapper (? ) "Black" Harris, and also California Joe Milner (clan survivors "fought over Joe's few possessions..."). Other references in letter as well. Also laid in 3 printed legal size pps from Natl Archives on Western and Frontier Subjects. Near fine in dj, which has minor, quite small chips/wear at corners & top/bottom of backstrip.
