One of three entries (all pretty much interchangeably titled) in Time Life's Living the Blues series, Living the Blues: Blues Legends does indeed feature some of the biggest names in postwar blues. Even if the track selection can feel a little random at times, most of what's here is terrific. Among the highlights are B.B. King's perennial "The Thrill Is Gone," Howlin' Wolf's "Call It Stormy Monday," Lowell Fulson's "Reconsider Baby," Earl King's "Those Lonely, Lonely Nights," and Etta James' "Something's Got a Hold on Me." ...
