If you want to embrace it for what it is instead of trying to turn it into what you are escaping, then you will like this book. -Living in Chelem, I loved the descriptions of the areas around us and found it very well written and accurate as well. The different types of "us, expats" living here was pretty hilarious, since most of us can be part of a few of them without the need of being offended. He captured the Yucateca spirit so well!
