The Intertestamental Period was as exciting if not more so than any time before or after. In the story behind the Dead Sea Scrolls the Old Testament can be seen again in terms of reflecting a familiar pattern, a common thread that also weaves throughout the New Testament. The amazing Essenes-with the Qumran leadership-rode the divine wave well, demonstrating the best in Biblical heroism. Next unfolds a drama forgotten since the 1st century A. D. The author and his wife, Christine, were married in Tampa, Florida in 2007. He earned his B. A. (5/04) and M.A. (12/08) in Religious Studies from the University of South Florida. Born to Richard and Ofelia Viglietta, Thomas carries a different surname-his mother's maiden-the result of an early divorce and custody-award, followed by a court-ordered name change. Unfortunately, because of this family's connection to organized crime, the writer was placed at a disadvantage early in life. Sensing something wrong, Thomas began to distance himself.
