This is a rather close translation of 'Das doppelte Lottchen '. The movie, 'The Parent Trap' was VERY loosely based on this book, which is FAR superior to the Disney tale. Two young girls meet at a summer camp, and everyone is amazed that they look identical, although they say they have never met. They discover they were both born on the same day in the same city, and find they are twin sisters. They exchange places, so they can meet their other parents, and then plot to reunite them..a wonderful story!
