Book has a fair amount of bumping at the head and tail of the spine with light accompanying rubbing. Very light bump at the tip of the lower front outside corner. White endpapers. Previous owner's name on the upper edge of the front endpaper. Signed and inscribed (but not to anyone in particular) on the half title page by the author in blue pen: "With my / very best / wishes / Sincerely / JC Penney." Binding is straight and tight. There's some very faint evidence of handling on the upper and outside edges of the textblock, but pages are otherwise all clean and crisp. 224 pages. Dust Jacket-has light rubbing at the head and tail of the spine and at the tips of the four outside corners. Just a trace of rubbing all along the upper and lower edges with a few closed tears, some with light accompanying wrinkles. A few of the jacket's corners have 1/8-1/4" chips in the tips. The part of the jacket that seats over the front edge of the spine is torn from the bottom all the way up to about 1 1/2" from the upper edge, and has a branching tear that cuts across the spine area. 1" circular closed tear in the upper edge of the rear cover next to the head ofd the spine that runs in from a 1/4" chip, and has some light wrinkling around it. Original $3.00 price on the upper corner of the front inside flap. Jacket has a number of tears and some wrinkles and was fragile when unprotected, but everything has been carefully collected into a mylar dust jacket cover, and fits together rather well.
