I will not attempt here to speak of our journey as we passed on through the beautiful and interesting country. We hastened to reach our place of destination as we had come for the purpose of finding health. Germany abounds with springs of mineral waters, and each traveller coming for health must be directed by a physician to the waters best suited to their case. We were ordered to Ems, while our sister and her companion had to separate from us and go to Wiesbaden. It was a quiet life we led here, for, having no knowledge of any language but our own, we were shut up to communicate with those only who spoke English. The process of inhaling, drinking, and bathing was very tiresome, and we could not but regret spending so much precious time over the poor, frail tenement in which the spirit is encased. But the result was marvellous, the process being greatly blessed of God. We did not then know that we might go directly to the Lord for healing of the body, as we learned afterwards it was our privilege to do. We were like children let out of school when we were through with the bathing, inhaling, drinking, observing dietary rules, and found ourselves on our way to England. It was most charming to us; quite like getting home, although we had never been there before. No country in the world was more full of interest to us than Old England with all its ancient monuments of history, with which we had been familiar from childhood.
