This volume presents an overview of library buildings in the UK between 1990 and 1994. For the period under review a total of 421 library projects were reported, of which 96 are detailed critiques. Libraries visited include substantial projects at Cranfield University, and Liverpool John Moores University. This volume also reflects the ingenuity of extensions, conversions and refurbishments (including attention paid to listed buildings), which became an important feature in these years. This series presents a permanent record of library architecture in the UK over the years 1975 to 1994, reflecting trends in library design and planning during that period. Outline data is supplied for all the design projects researched. For notable projects, material gathered by an editorial team of librarians on inspection visits is presented in the form of critical appraisals, augmented by photographs, plans and tabulations of architectural data.
