Ownership signature on the front endpaper of Hugh Ross Williamson (1901&endash; 1978) a prolific British popular historian, amateur ghost hunter, and a dramatist. Starting from a career in the literary world, and having a Nonconformist background, he became an Anglican priest in 1943. Very good indeed.
