Pages toned. Illustrated with frontispiece engraved portrait of Lydia Huntley Sigourney. Black cloth boards lettered in gilt at spine, boards slightly scuffed, corners rubbed. Front hinge has been repaired with fibre tape. Binding is very tender. Black cloth custom library slipcase. Sigourney was a popular American poet of the first half of the nineteenth century, known as the "Sweet Singer of Hartford".
