Therefore, acting as I generally try to, upon the Golden Rule of doing as I would be done by, I ad dressed to Mr. Morley a brief history of the incident which Mr. Gladstone alludes to as a mischievous forgery, indulging the hope of a reply that would spare me the necessity of taking any public notice of it personally.
