This a great kid's book. Leah lives on a farm and loves her new pony. When her family's farm is failing and their belongings must be sold at auction, she sells her pony to buy her father's tractor. She bids only one dollar on the tractor, and the farmers present at the auction are too overwhelmed to bid more. She is able to save the farm, and the pony is returned to her by the man who bought it.
